Meet our Board of Directors
Shari is currently the Field Deputy/Community Outreach Coordinator for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Bureau of Victim Services. The program assists victims of a violent crime. Shari also teaches Project LEAD – a 20-week law based curriculum offered by the District Attorney’s office to 5th grade classrooms in the hopes that the students will always remain on the right side of the law. She is currently teaching at Loren Miller Elementary School.
Hattie is a graduate of Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she received her B.S. and M.S. in Social Science and Curriculum. She worked as a teacher, counselor, and School Attendance Review Board Chair for Los Angeles Unified School
District for 31 years. She is a community and union activist, very active in her church, and a member of the Foundation Board of Los Angeles Southwest College. She hasreceived many awards, including Los Angeles Women in NAACP Award 2014, NAACP Service Award 2015.

John Chebultz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Beverly Hills. His areas of expertise include men’s issues, couples work, addiction and dual diagnosis. In addition to serving on the board of WCC, he is the secretary of
the Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica and is the former president of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles.
Joel McLafferty is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder and Executive Director of the Westmont Counseling Center. He previously worked for several community mental health clinics, including Open Paths Counseling Center where he was the Clinical Director. He is an Adjunct Professor at Antioch University Los Angeles and has served as President of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles.
