Joel McLafferty, MA MBA
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Joel McLafferty is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder and Executive Director of the Westmont Counseling Center. He previously worked for several community mental health clinics, including Open Paths Counseling Center where he was the Clinical Director. He is an Adjunct Professor at Antioch University Los Angeles and has served as President of the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles.
Eunice Fuentes, MA
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Eunice Fuentes is a Spanish speaking Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and graduated from Loyola Marymount with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She has been actively involved in the South Central, Inglewood, and Lennox communities for over a decade. Eunice has experience working with children, teenagers, adults and couples. She is dedicated and focused on helping you feel empowered and guiding you through a positive path to grow and well-being.
Kala Patterson, MBA MSW
Associate Clinical Social Worker
Kala Patterson received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She has experience working with clients struggling with relationships, depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma and codependency. She supports clients using a strength-based approach to help them grow, heal and become more resilient. She incorporates Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based and Trauma Informed Therapies in her work.
Roz has worked with a number of populations including youth who have experienced trauma, adults dealing with substance use and patients facing serious medical conditions. She has also received training in approaches such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. In her work, she strives to encourage clients' development of their strengths.
Priscilla Hefley, MSW
Associate Social Worker
Priscilla Hefley (she/her) received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Priscilla works with children, adults, families, and couples using a trauma-informed perspective that incorporates somatic techniques. Priscilla believes in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals.
Hillary Stevens, MA
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Hillary Stevens received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She has 30 years of experience working with children and families throughout Los Angeles County in various capacities. Hillary has clinical experience working with families, children, young adults, and adults who struggle from the effects of trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and interpersonal relationships. Hillary is committed to helping her clients achieve mental health through the use of evidenced based psychotherapy.
Keisha Owens received her bachelor's in psychology from Morgan State University and she completed her master's degree in Counseling Psychology at National University. She has over 20 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, Dual Diagnosed Substance Abuse outpatient programs, structured intensive outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric, large nonprofits, and private practice.
Deborah Lambert, APCC
Deborah is a graduate of Grand Canyon University’s Graduate school of Psychology, with a Master's degree of Science in Professional Counseling. She has a history of working with youth in Juvenile detentions centers, faith-based communities, low-income populations, and Veterans. She is a certified Anger management facilitator and a seasoned Job Counselor who works with individuals to assist with problem solving.
Naisy Vasquez- Hernandez joined the WCC team in Fall 2021 as our Office Administrator. With over 10 years of administrative work experience and a degree in Communication Studies, Naisy approaches all aspects of any job with a positive, hard- working mindset and is passionate to help others. Naisy is committed to support WCC and together, they will provide excellent patient care.
Social Media Manager
Chloe Clark graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Communication Studies and Journalism. Chloe is currently obtaining her Master's degree in Journalism at the University of Southern California. She is passionate about creating content to highlight communities of color through different media platforms. She is pursuing a career in broadcast journalism to continue to share stories and connect individuals in order to provide greater perspectives.
