Victims of Crime Counseling

Victims of crime and their families are eligible for free therapy

Victims of Crime with a police report or a Child Protective Services (CPS) report may be eligible for mental health services. Below is a partial list of crimes that are typically covered.

 

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon

  • Battery

  • Child Abuse/Molestation

  • Domestic Violence

  • Driving Under the Influence

  • Hit and Run

  • Murder

  • Robbery

  • Sexual Assault

  • Stalking

 

The VOC Program may reimburse the following expenses if they are incurred as a direct result of a crime as long as there are no other sources of reimbursement available.

  • Medical/Dental

  • Mental Health Counseling

  • Lost Wage/Income

  • Lost Support to Eligible Family Members

  • Domestic Violence Moving and Relocation

  • Funeral/Burial

  • Job Retraining
